The finest, freshest caviar is a delicacy enjoyed by those who
appreciate its luxury
It is almost impossible to exist without having heard something
about caviar, but not many people know what caviar
truly is. Caviar is simply any exclusive salted fish roe or egg.
Genuine caviar comes from the Caspian Sea. The environment in the
frigid waters contributes to the best production of sturgeon, which
is a large primitive fish whose eggs are of great value.
To the caviar 'purist', caviar can be made from only the sturgeon
egg. The sturgeon eggs are sifted to remove any membrane and fatty
tissues and then salted with non-iodized salt to make caviar. This
method that is basically used for preserving and curing is still
used to this day.
Others who are less rigid in their definition of what caviar is
will accept it from other fish assortments such as tuna, salmon
and a variety of other forms. These kinds of caviar tend to be less
expensive than the other fine varieties of sturgeon.
Caviar can add a touch of elegance and opulence to any occasion.
Whether it is a romantic dinner for two, dinner party or lavish
gift for someone special, caviar's rich delicacy will be appreciated
by all.
