Cook Beef Stroganoff when you are looking for something easy
Beef Stroganoff has been around for a
long time and part of the appeal to this tasty dish lies in its
simplicity. Basically this is a recipe that dates back to the 18th
century where its Russian origins began the theme of sautéed
beef slices in a cream-based sauce. There are recipes for Beef Stroganoff
that include mushrooms and onions, and others that spice the sauce
with mustard.
For classic Beef Stroganoff buy high quality
tenderloin, but if your budget is tight you can substitute it
with thinly cut flank steak. This dish is very easy to make and
delicious to eat. Why not make Beef Stroganoff for you next dinner
party? All you will need is: vegetable oil, onion, beef tenderloin,
mushrooms, salt, pepper, nutmeg and sour cream.

2 pounds beef tenderloin, cut thin in 1x1.5 inch strips
½ pound mushrooms, sliced
Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
1/8 tsp nutmeg
1 cup sour cream, at room temperature
Melt 3 tablespoons of butter in a heavy skillet and add onion.
Cook slowly until transparent. Remove and set aside. Turn the heat
